Pre-Departure Coursework

All students are required to participate Spring semester in a pre-departure course that combines video conferenced sessions, two on-site meetings (inclusive of the Program’s Orientation Weekend), reading and viewing assignments, submission of research proposals for Human Subjects Committee approval, and a program of readings and other preparatory work through the summer. The pre-departure course is valued at .5 unit credit Spring semester and .5 unit credit for the summer work, each accorded a letter grade.

The dates for the Spring 2017 sessions will be updated soon.
